Do Canada’s vast spaces make you dream?
And are you wondering how to combine your desire for “authentic nature and adventure” with your wish for “comfort and exclusivity”?
In other words: you want to return from a demanding, glorious day in the forest—boots muddy or snowy, exhilarated by a taste of the old explorers’ life—while knowing you’ll soon enjoy a fine glass of wine by the fire, followed by a gourmet dinner, and then retire to your exclusive, luxurious cabin.
Good news: we have a solution—called MITIK—a unique approach to high-end nature tourism in Canada, born in the heart of wild Quebec.
How MITIK began
A few years ago, a group of adventure lovers of Canada’s great outdoors came together around an ambitious project: to restore prestige to nature tourism and experiences in Quebec’s outfitters and beyond.
- A vision: making infinite nature accessible year-round…
- A mission: offering authentic, exclusive experiences…
- A commitment: guaranteeing absolute comfort on our own territories…
Since then, MITIK ambassadors have carefully selected, tested, and invested in around ten territories in Quebec and Canada—from the mythical rivers of Bas-Saint-Laurent to the boreal forests of the North Shore.
Our daily involvement in operations and the MITIK charter ensure an exceptional stay—balanced between discreet luxury, exclusive territories, and wild nature.
Outfitter = an establishment offering services (lodging, equipment, guides, dining, etc.) to people engaging in outdoor experiences (discovery, sport, fishing, hunting, etc.).
MITIK’s ambition: live fully in nature with absolute comfort
Whether you’re an angler, a hunter, or an adventure traveler, MITIK offers a long list of outdoor activities on private territories in Quebec and Canada—enough to fill your days completely.
You can also personalize your experiences to enjoy them as a family, with friends, or solo. Each territory has all the essential equipment and, where necessary, certified professional guides.
Our first goal is to help you choose the level of experience that fits you best:
- A short 20 km snowmobile loop for families discovering winter in Quebec
- Up to 200 km/day snowmobile raids for thrill-seekers in wide-open white spaces
- A two-hour introduction to fly fishing on a lakeshore
- Or a full day of fishing up the rapids on one of our exclusive salmon rivers, such as those on the North Shore or near the Saguenay
At MITIK, whether for lodging, dining, or guidance, we never compromise on comfort. Being in the wild doesn’t mean sleeping or eating poorly!
You can tailor services to your wishes:
Lunch boxes for those who spend the day in the forest, or three-course lunches at our inns. A modern, comfortable cabin 50 m from the inn, or an isolated cabin deep in the boreal forest.
The infinite nature of MITIK’s exclusive territories
MITIK territories cover several hundred km², thousands of lakes, hundreds of river kilometers, and vast forests where dozens of iconic Canadian species can be seen.
This allows us to offer extremely varied landscapes:
- The great plains of Saskatchewan
- The mountains of the Monts Valin
- The tundra of Nunavik
- The rugged North Shore of the St. Lawrence
- And the great Notawissi Lake, deep in Quebec’s forests
There’s something for every taste, and you’ll understand why the vast majority of our visitors return each year to discover a new exclusive MITIK territory.
Careful management of these domains is our priority:
Wildlife conservation, catch limits for fishing, and trail and road maintenance…
Having such expansive areas in different regions also gives access to the diversity and richness of local cultures. Come discover the traditions and customs of the First Nations who have long lived in these preserved environments.

A discreet-luxury base camp in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean
Do you enjoy river kayaking, hiking in majestic settings, whale watching, fishing?
You can do all that—and more—by settling into our Auberge du Cap au Leste.
It’s a true base camp in nature, overlooking the Saguenay Fjord with an exceptional view.
- Cozy rooms and cabins
- Heated pool

It’s the perfect place for a sporty week of multi-activity as a couple or family—or for recharging in calm and comfort.
The fabulous Johan-Beetz Manor and the salmon rivers
On the North Shore of the St. Lawrence, opposite Anticosti Island, the Johan-Beetz Manor awaits you. Built in 1899, this Second Empire-style home is classified as part of Quebec’s cultural heritage.
MITIK has made it an exclusive retreat with period furnishings that take you back in time, and high-end cuisine centered on local Quebec terroir products.
Overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence, this majestic place invites relaxation and reconnection—as well as discovery of a region rich in history, landscapes, and cultures.
A few kilometers from the manor, MITIK is also a partner of Pourvoirie La Corneille, at the mouth of the river of the same name. Specializing in salmon fishing, La Corneille holds exclusive rights to 20 linear kilometers of wild salmon river.
Whether you’re an experienced fly fisher or a beginner, you’ll be captivated by the beauty, variety of pools, and serenity of this river.
The islands across from the site also invite hikes or kayak outings to admire landscapes where sky, sea, and river meet.
In every season, MITIK blends wild nature and discreet luxury
You’ve seen that we design unique and exclusive experiences in contact with nature while ensuring a high level of comfort and service.
Whether in winter in northern Quebec, spring in the forests of Mauricie and the Upper Laurentians, summer along the St. Lawrence and Saguenay Fjord, or autumn in the heart of the Monts Valin, MITIK guides you through an exceptional, authentic, and still little-known Canada.
