MOOSE HUNTING
Nestled in the heart of the Appalachians, this magnificent territory benefits from part of the protected area of Lake East. Located 20 km from Highway 20 East and 2 km from the Maine border, between La Pocatière and Rivière-du-Loup. The main site is situated at over 550 meters above sea level, surrounded by small mountains that house a biological refuge. It covers an accessible area of 656.2 km², including 65.2 km² with exclusive rights for fishing, hunting, and trapping. It is inhabited by the mountainous reliefs of the Appalachians, beautiful century-old coniferous and deciduous forests with vibrant colors, panoramic views of the region, young forests, and food-rich clearings. This territory is renowned for moose, black bear, and winged wildlife (partridges & migratory birds) divided into 8 accessible hunting zones designed to cater to different types of hunting. The quality of hunting is remarkable due to rigorous management. This territory is also dotted with over 100 km of paths and trails for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a magnificent playground for mountain hiking on foot or by bike. The diversity of habitats in the territory provides a wonderful place to observe abundant wildlife and discover the great diversity of flora, while also appealing to mushroom lovers.
