FISHING IN WILD WATERS
The territory of Lake Victor is located on the border of Lower and Middle North Shore of Quebec, in the heart of the boreal forest. A fascinating setting, consisting of an exceptional watershed: 34 lakes, including 9 larger than 100 hectares, and 7 rivers, over 251.5 km² of exclusive fishing rights. A renowned and preserved kingdom of the ouananiche, the small salmon that jumps as the Innus nickname it, it is also rich in arctic char, brook trout, and grayling. This wealth in a single basin is explained by the presence of the rainbow smelt that has adapted to this environment, just like its noble predators. It is the tributary of two Atlantic salmon rivers, the Natashquan and the Aguanus, where many large northern pike are also present. In this wild territory where Innuit culture and the history of the wood runners meet, you will likely cross paths with many animals: black bears, moose, lynx, martens... Some lakes are reserved exclusively for fly fishing, others have never even been explored, will you be the first to discover them? Lake Victor is the only territory in the region accessible by seaplane or by land and lake routes. It’s up to you to choose how your adventure begins!
